Binary Shift Conference

Binary Shift is one of Australia’s top conferences focused specifically on regional innovation, technology and startups. Founded in Gippsland in 2017, it’s run by the regions, for the regions. Binary Shift is returning in 2018 with a full day of keynote presentations and panels to be held at Lardner Park on Monday 27th of August, followed by a gala dinner at award-winning paddock-to-plate winery restaurant Hogget Kitchen, and a morning of hands-on workshops run by Infoxchange and Google in Warragul the following day.

The conference has a strong focus on diversity, digital inclusion and supporting disadvantaged communities. Our core conference goal is to inspire regional communities with the possibilities of technology and innovation, so it’s super important that traditionally under-represented groups are included, and that audience members can see people like themselves on stage.

One of the keynote presentations at the conference is by Leslie Delaforce, a Gumbaynggir man and founder of Covocate, an inclusive HR startup, flying in from WA to present at Binary Shift. Local artist Dixon Patten is also going to be one of the speakers on the Art Meets Technology panel, speaking to both his work as an artist and graphic designer.
